Marc Strohallen?

A little about myself. I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area mostly living in the Haight and Mission district of San Francisco. At the age of about ten years old I started playing guitar with seriousness. Being introduced to the music of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin the Beatles and the Stones and later the Jazz greats like Wes Montgomery and Grant Green changed everything. My first teacher was my Grandfather, the man who has had the most influence on me in my life. He was a musician and an artist in addition to being a great man. Those early years were full of music and art. Playing, drawing and focusing on being creative. The only other thing that would destract me from music and art was playing basketball. When it was time to go to college I decided to major in music getting an A.A. degree from Chabot College in Hayward. Not being content with just focusing on music I returned to college getting a B.F.A degree from the Academy of Art College majoring in 3d animation. Attending the Academy of Art was great, it introduced me to a career as a 3d character animator in video games and film. Fastforward 10 years and life is allmost the same, music, art, basketball with the exception I’ve added a wife and son to the mix. After the birth of my son in 2005 my wife and I decided to move to Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. The country my wife is from. We lived in Rio for a year and a half, adding surfing to my repertoire of activities and the love of the ocean was born into the heart of my son. Currently we’re living in Sao Paolo, Brasil. A city six hours south of Rio de Janeiro by car and a world apart by culture. Here we are today. Healthy and happy and looking to continue to be creative.
